Halfmoon Bay Cabin

Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia
|
July 2022
The design of the Halfmoon Bay house integrates lighting as a crucial element to enhance the overall ambiance and functionality of the space. Strategically positioned windows maximize natural light and scenic views, immersing the interior in a bright and airy atmosphere. Artificial lighting fixtures, including recessed lights, pendants, and wall sconces, were thoughtfully placed to provide both functional and aesthetic illumination, enabling flexibility in creating various moods and accentuating architectural elements. Warm-toned light bulbs and fixtures complement the natural materials used in construction, while dimmers and adjustable lighting options offer control over light intensity. High-contrast finishes, employed to counter the dim coastal winters, create the illusion of more light, adding brightness to the space. This comprehensive approach to lighting design ensures a harmonious and visually appealing environment, where natural and artificial lighting work in harmony to elevate the overall design concept.
